Increased Sales at least 50% each year since 2005 and revenue scheduled at least $750,000 in 2010.  Worked with sales staff to develop sales resources and leads and put in a process that would ensure a continuous feed of new sales while maintaining the current sale that we have.  Networked well with many different folks as different networking events to bring in business and develop relationships to garner business referrals.

Worked with kitchen staff to ensure food costs were in line with our projected costs. Worked with our delivery staff to ensure on-time deliveries and the set-ups were consistent.  I worked with our office staff to support our sales team and to effectively take orders for our corporate clients.

Created and maintained our web presence while executing different marketing strategies, including monthly postcard mailers to current clients, Google Pay-Per-Click campaign and search engine optimization.  Prior to selling, I was working on defining the company in the social media arena.  Also marketed and allowed clients to order online at www.orderboxedlunches.com.  This increase visibility online and ability to promote another portion of the business

Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corporation, Boulder, Colorado
Aerospace Engineer
May 2003 – June 2006

  • Deep Impact Project:   Ground Systems Engineer, Mission Support Area Developer
  • Kepler Project:          Database Manager and Ground Systems Engineer

Provided Ground System Support by learning a new ground system when I was first hired. I worked with JPL on learning AMMOS quickly through their AMMOS support team.  I was tasked to put together a mission support area, with communications, computers, and count-down/count-up mission clock and provided on launch support in the mission support area.  I also provided test support on the floor in the clean room as well as other test facilities at Ball.  Occasionally I would work with the software developers in fixing software bugs and updating the database as needed from tests.

I worked with the development team as the database manager on developing the test benches for Kepler, which would also be used for flight.  The testing of the database and the test benches as well as testing on the test benches, provided useful results in helping scope out the telemetry and command requirements for the project.

Lockheed Martin, various locations
Hardware Engineer
Oct. 1998 – May 2003

  • Regression Testing of SITS software, Test Development and Quality Control Interface
  • System Maintenance & Enhancements
  • Wide-Field Camera 3 (WFC3) Database Manager
  • Property Management and Tracking
  • Customer Interactions

Responsible for interfacing with Quality Assurance in the release process of our test system for the Hubble Space Telescope Science Instrument clients.  I worked with QA to ensure that each release passed its regression  test as well as any specific functional requirements, including change request software tests to make sure the change were effectively made and did not have any other effect on the system.  I also made changes and tested those changes requested by our clients.  As part of my duties, I was responsible for managing the rewriting of our user’s manual, from concept and design to print and updates for each release.

Managed and tracked all test system hardware.  As part of the management of equipment I was responsible for selling and coordinating the delivery of many of the old test system equipment to NOAA including packaging, shipping and paper work to transfer the equipment from NASA’s control to NOAA’s control.  I was also responsible for finding the program that did take possession of the equipment and found a way for that program to pay for the transfer of such assets.

I relocated to Boulder, Colorado to Work with Ball Aerospace as an on-site support person for our test system. I was responsible for creating the telemetry and commands database for Wide Field Camera 3 as well as testing science instrument software for release to be used when the instrument was installed on Hubble.
